I'm not calling Tilman Fertitta the "villain" in this scenario. But you know how, in every disaster movie, there's a leader who - though he's not evil and probably means well - chews out the protagonist and doesn't believe (in) him? THAT's the vibe I'm getting.
While I still have optimism for next year (& even '21-22), the period that follows for the Rockets seems like that scene in 'Dark Knight Rises' when Bane has Bruce in the prison cell & tells him how he's going to destroy his soul & only THEN will he have his permission to die.
Imagine this quarterback with a competent HC?!? 🤯
The Sixers have some serious roster design issues that no head coach will be able to fix upon arrival. Whoever gets that job has his or her work cut out for them.
Stop putting Mike D'Antoni in a box. Did anyone predict he would be coaching a heavy isolation brand of basketball by 2018? The guy is more malleable than than we give him credit for.
As part of the Russell Westbrook trade, the Rockets gave OKC (which also has Miami’s pick) the right to swap 2021 first round picks so that the Rockets get the WORST of their own, OKC’s or MIA’s picks.
If Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro & (a likely to be re-signed) Goran Dragic are all going to play anything like THIS next season, then the Rockets (or whoever they trade their pick to) will be picking very late in the first round in 2021.
