Good grief. How slow and ineffective is the NCAA legislative process that you ask Congress to do YOUR JOB? The NCAA will never allow NIL rights for players. The NCAA just wants an antitrust exemption to continue the cartel.
Power 5 conferences are now asking Congress to bypass NCAA & move to give college athletes rights to earn $ from name, image, likeness. Nice to see some autonomy. However, not holding breath on federal action. Glad to see Florida has applied big pressure. https://t.co/DzbwknLbxl
New: #LSU OL coach James Cregg has offered a pair of West Coast offensive tackles, and he made the move early. Malik Agbo is just a sophomore in Washington, while Francis Mauigoa is wrapping up his freshman year in California. https://t.co/3tnfauHi12
RT @CWatkinsWDSU: .@NOPDChief Shaun Ferguson reacts to the injustices black men deal with each and every day. He says, “As a father of 3 young black men and a leader of a law enforcement agency, I understand the concern that many have with the injustices faced by black men...” @wdsu https://t.co/UPUpmWEcLs
RT @ZachLowe_NBA: If you don’t understand the killing of George Floyd is the product of centuries-old systemic wrongs–if you’re somehow uneasy about the protests--that’s on you. You haven’t tried. You haven’t thought beyond your own experiences and privilege. Change requires empathy and action. https://t.co/M0ciAuqTj8
New: #LSU has two Top 100 WR's committed, but the staff is looking to make it an even bigger haul this cycle. This week, the Tigers made a new offer to a 4-star in California who is drawing comparisons to DeSean Jackson. https://t.co/xEmFBHx3C1
New: There are only four uncommitted recruits in Louisiana's 2021 class who hold an offer from #LSU. With two picks already in, I just made my @247CrystalBall prediction for the Tigers to land a third name from the group. Here's what I'm thinking (VIP) https://t.co/6JZyFaQAe3
💪 Also, the photojournalist Omar is working with is Leonel Mendez, truly one of the best in the business, who worked at WDSU as well as other TV stations in NOLA.
I respectfully differ with my colleague. Performers, whether athlete, musician or dancer, are not required to perform during a pandemic because essential employees work. That is a false equivalence. Any performer making such a decision is neither entitled, spoiled nor a brat.
