RT @BruceFeldmanCFB: The SEC announced it will postpone the start of volleyball, soccer and cross country competition thru at least Aug 31. The decision will provide additional time to prepare for the safe return of competition on an adjusted timeline. This includes all exhibition & non-conf. games.

With it clear now that the coronavirus is going to have a pretty serious impact on college athletics from a financial standpoint, it's definitely time to reframe the coaching "hot seat" discussions. It's going to be a LOT harder to fire coaches and pay big buyouts going forward.
The optics of playing cfb this fall -- or not -- cannot be stressed enough. College athletes -- some of them teenagers -- assembling in large numbers during a pandemic can be bad optics. Especially in regions where hospitals are being overwhelmed during a worldwide pandemic.
