I’m kind of embarrassed now that I didn’t vote for them to go on the ballot when I was at @rockhall the other day. E is right, outstanding band that resonated with just about everyone. And one of my first concerts!
I have a longstanding theory: few bands/artists can match @HueyLewisNews' overall acceptance/popularity. In the 80s to early 90s, seemingly everyone knew/liked AT LEAST 1 song. Race, gender, age & more didn't matter like it did for many of music's biggest acts/names. HOF worthy!
Only two televised games from the Jays' newly renovated ballpark in Dunedin this spring??? I looked at Sportsnet's spring TV schedule, plus Votto's tribute to Tony Fernández, the continuing Astros mess, and more in today's Bird's Eye View: https://t.co/oVDwAI0Ppd
I suspect the part from the second sentence onward is a pretty common view.
@AndrewStoeten I have been to probably 100 game over the last decade and drank about 10 beers total. Why pay $40 for 3 crappy beers when I can drink what I like for half the price at home or a bar. If they stepped it up not only would I buy more beer there but I'd actually go to more games.
Looking forward to the discourse the next time an actually prominent player gets hit with a PED suspension (while the Astros go right on playing).
Eno points out that they're surely leaving money on the table here. I'd think so, but I suppose that depends on what their arrangement with InBev is worth to them. They're certainly not winning points with many fans, and not making good on expectations that could be easily met.
