#Hokies’ 102-95 loss Wednesday night in three OTs against Miami marked the longest ACC game since Dec. 20, 2003, when Chris Paul led Wake Forest to a 119-114 win in three OTs at North Carolina. Wednesday’s game tied for the longest in Cassell Coliseum history.
It was pointed out to me afterward that the Radford shot was illegal, and that is correct. From the NCAA rulebook... "The ball shall be out-of-bounds when any part of the ball passes over the backboard from any direction." Helluva shot, though.
#Hokies lose 102-95 at home to Miami in 3 OT. Miami’s Kameron McGusty scores w/ 5 secs left in reg, fouled by Tyrece Radford, makes FT to tie 77-77 and send to 1st OT. Otherwise, Radford plays huge (26 pts, 10 rbs, 3 steals). Tech’s Jalen Cone 20 pts (4-9 on 3’s). Miami 29-32 FTs
Canes respond with a 9-2 run, lead 74-72 with 1:36 left. The teams have combined to go 41-44 from the free throw line. Miami is 20-20.
No one loves college basketball or the ACC more than Dave Odom. This celebration is so richly deserved.
Clemson and UGA, bumping ECU and App State. Didn't see that coming. 😏
Rest In Peace Coach Danny Mitchell. Thank you for all of your teachings. You were a GREAT man that loved me like I was one of your own from day 1. Words truly can’t express how much you impacted my life not only in sports but also in my everyday walk in life. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 https://t.co/FchhaaCZhi
